the Far cry from the main series (Far cry 4,5,6) are in the same universe but none of the game's events affect the others directly, the most is a few small mentions (like when Willis mentions Kyrat and ajay in Far cry 5) But I think the collapse doesn't affect Far Cry 6 at all even if they are in the same universe
I just finish this game 5 minutes ago. I hate both of the ending. the ending where you choose to walk away was so closed to being great until they feel the need to make that shitty horror movie style ending. not every story need a twist ending. this game is one of it. just give the player the win they deserve.

Second time playing. didn't finish final mission first time due a distraction. Just finished it. every far cry game has a bad ending usually involving the lesser of two evils. This one did not, it just ended bad. Not only that, every game except FC1 is somewhat possible. FC2 was horrible warlord situation in Africa. FC3 was weird situation with remote South Pacific island. FC4 was based on Joseph Seed is the only Far Cry antagonist to survive the events of the game no matter which ending is taken. Despite Seed's role in the game, his actor Greg Bryk does not consider him a villain. He bears some resemblance to the real-life cult leader David Koresh, as his cult group, Branch Davidians, were the inspiration of Project at Eden's Gate. The end was so bad? NO! and stop complaining, this FarCry has picked up something that we have not seen for a long time in a game, a final that is not cliche, an end where the villain wins, which is good that many of you are complaining because you do not understand, next time try pay attention to the history of the game and remember that the hIQpHL.
