the Far cry from the main series (Far cry 4,5,6) are in the same universe but none of the game's events affect the others directly, the most is a few small mentions (like when Willis mentions Kyrat and ajay in Far cry 5) But I think the collapse doesn't affect Far Cry 6 at all even if they are in the same universe
I just finish this game 5 minutes ago. I hate both of the ending. the ending where you choose to walk away was so closed to being great until they feel the need to make that shitty horror movie style ending. not every story need a twist ending. this game is one of it. just give the player the win they deserve.
